Halford's Extreme Inc. remains open for business.

We have been closely monitoring the developments around COVID-19 (Coronavirus) and the potential impact on Canadians, Canadian shoppers and the world. Our top priority is the safety of our customers, employees and community.

Recently Alberta has released our re-launch strategy in a three stages.

Stage 1:

We can expect stage 1 to start as early as May 14. This includes opening provincial parks, golf courses, select camp ground (online booking for June 1st).
Some retail businesses like Farmers markets, hair stylists.

Continued restrictions:

With the launch of stage 1 there are some limitations:

  • Gatherings are permitted as long as there are 15 or less people
  • Continue to follow social distancing 2 meter (6 feet) and other public guidelines
  • Businesses and events with close physical contact are not permitted (festivals, sporting events, concerts, movie theaters, pools, night clubs, gyms)
  • Elementary schools (k-12) will remain closed

  • You continue having symptoms including fever, cough and difficulty breathing
  • Have traveled outside Canada or have been exposed to someone who has been traveling

If you have children: To protect your child, our employees and our community and help reduce exposure to COVID-19, please leave your child at home or supervised in your car while visiting.

Increased Cleanliness: Alberta Health advises COVID-19 is believed to be spread by coughing, sneezing, direct contact with someone who is sick with COVID-19 or coming in contact with surfaces recently touched. Halford's has increased our cleaning schedule to regularly wipe surfaces to help eliminate exposure to COVID-19 virus.

Active Safety Response Team: We have an active safety team equipped to monitor and take action required as newer developments emerge.

Limiting on-site Staff: When possible, some of our staff have been asked to work from home to do their part to help reduce exposure.

Product availability: We have undertaken several actions to ensure their health and safety while ensuring the continued availability of our products and services.

We are re-launching Alberta but still need to stay alert...

To help reduce exposure Alberta Health recommends the following:

  • Wash your hands often and scrubbing well
  • Avoid touching your face, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick
  • Clean and disinfect surfaces that are frequently touched
  • Stay at home and away from others if you are feeling ill
  • When sick, cover your cough and sneezes then wash your hand immediately after

Getting to Stage 2 of relaunch will depend on all of our abilities to keep infection rates low, and well within the capacity of the healthcare systems.
If we continue to work together and continue to follow guidelines we can expect to get through to the final stages and back to our regular routines quicker.

We've made it this far, but it is not over yet. Stay alert. We are almost there.
